Live In Freedom Early (LIFE) -- is a rigorous, adventure-based, residential program that helps adolescent boys who have drug and alcohol dependency develop the strengths and skills to maintain their recovery. The LIFE program's multidisciplinary team includes medical, social work, psychiatric/psychological, chemical dependency, vocational educational and adventure based therapists as well as residential counselors. The staff addresses primary chemical dependency concerns as well as secondary mental health issues that are frequently linked to substance abuse. Through intensive on-site therapy, education, adventure-based activities and community support, the teens develop understanding of their dependency, responsibility for their actions, and are eventually be able to return to the community and/or family without turning to drugs and alcohol to cope with the stress of daily living. LIFE provides an instructional program which prepares clients to return to an appropriate community program (high school, college, GED preparation, BOCES). Family members are encouraged to play a significant role in the overall treatment process.
Outpatient Clinic -- is a fully-licensed Chemical Dependency Clinic that offers evaluation and treatment to Villa
youth and family members upon referral by a social worker, and enables clients to receive chemical dependency services in coordination
with their overall treatment plans. The Clinic also has capabilities to serve youth referred by other agencies, and is available for
adults and youth from the community.
