The true meaning of the holidays can be found in giving of ourselves and what we have to others. Every holiday season, the Rochester community illustrates this by reaching out to help the less fortunate children and families served by St. Joseph's Villa.
The Holiday Helpers program enables individuals, community groups and businesses to provide gifts, donations, sponsorships and even food baskets to make the season brighter for hundreds of our young people and their families.
There are many ways you can help. You can:
- give a cash donation, and we will do the shopping
- sponsor a child or residence
- purchase a gift for a specific child or residence or from a general wish list
- provide food, tree and gifts for a needy family of a Villa child
"It would be impossible for us to meet all of the needs of Villa boys and girls and their families without support from people in the community," says Villa Special Events Coordinator Jean Humphrey, who makes sure every gift finds its proper home in the hands of a child. "Holiday Helpers show our kids how much the community cares."
